Omagh Support & Self Help Group is involved with the Historical Enquires Team and the Police Ombudsman and many other state agencies in the pursuit for Truth and Justice for over 13 years. We have firsthand experience of the process involved and the impact that can have on a family, individual and community. We can identify with, relate to and empathise with those who decide to take this journey. It is our goal to assist them in this process by attending meetings, researching, advocating and providing support throughout and after this process is complete.

The remit of the 'HET' is to review all police files, look for any possible evidential leads, follow these to their conclusion and then meet with families with a view to giving them as much information about the incident affecting that family.

If you are currently undergoing a HET review or are unsure how to engage in this process, please contact Omagh Support on 028 82259877 or omagh_victims@hotmail.co.uk.
